FAQ: everything you wanted to ask about the label but:
Q.: Where am i? What is this? What?
A.: Dotnum Dunton is a nanolabel. We release sound. We think it's stupid to categorize music in any way but sometimes you should use those well-known terms as "noise", "electronic", "experimental", "ommmmmg", and so on to describe to poor people what kind of sound we release. We think it's better to hear once than see a hundreds times.
Q.: What does "Dotnum Dunton" mean?
A.: Well, actually no exact meaning at all. More like some image in your head in exact moment of reading it. Or you can try to imagine something your very own. Also, i once thought it sounds like a name.
Q.: Who's behind this label?
A.: Everything is managed by Morgen Mittag and his excellency mr. Dotnum.
Q.: What's with that logo?
A.: Oh, on the logo you can see his excellency mr. Dotnum floating in space surrounded by stars (sounds) and trying to discover some really sweet of them so later he could eat them alive using that super secret sound telescope you can see on the right. Also noone knows who or what mr. Dotnum is below his chest or that part you can see. I guess that's says pretty much about the label conception.
Q.: How can i listen to your music?
A.: All our releases are free to download (except for the first ones, we want them to stay 'physical' as memory of what Dotnum was in the beggining) via archive.org website. We also do around 10 or 20 cd-r copies of an album with printed artwork and packaging.
FAQ: and other stories:
Q.: What is the goal of your label?
A.: Dotnum Dunton started as a music label but now it's like a living system, a platform for all kind of art, sure mostly sound art but we'll be happy to cooperate with anyone interested in design, photography, art projects, etc. The goal is to create community of awesome people who enjoy what we do, people who are free from any stereotypes, any borders.
Q.: I have a question not listed here.
A.: Just e-mail us, and we'll put it on this page.
